Professional Background
I have more than 50 years of experience in the mental health field, including leadership, consultation, and direct clinical practice. I hold Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Medical Cannabis Therapeutics, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson State University.
My career includes serving as the State Director for Co-Occurring Disorder Services with Maryland’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Mental Hygiene Administration. I also worked as a consultant and faculty member with the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry, Evidence-Based Practices Center, helping agencies develop and implement person-centered recovery plans grounded in evidence-based practice.
Philosophy of Care
I believe every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges, discover your strengths, and move toward the life you want. Using a person-centered, strength-based approach, I help adults navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring conditions in ways that promote balance and lasting well-being. I also enjoy working with couples who want to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen their connection. Together, we focus on creating meaningful, sustainable change that supports your goals and values.
I believe recovery and wellness are built on each person’s unique strengths and values. I help clients view problems as manageable obstacles and encourage growth through practical, evidence-based strategies that promote resilience and lasting change. Whether you’re managing emotional pain, seeking clarity, or wanting to reconnect in your relationships, therapy offers an opportunity to find new perspective and hope.
If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and growth, I’d be honored to work with you. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths, values, and goals to create a path toward greater balance, confidence, and connection.
You don’t have to face challenges alone—change is possible, and it can start today.
